My father, known as Michael Aldhelm Waterfall was adopted in the 1950s by Louis Waterfall from Dorset and Rene Webb from Bristol. I would love to know if anyone knows anything about him and his birth family. We believe his mother was Irish and father was an English soldier and they were not married, but this is only hearsay.
If anyone knows anything please contact me.

A message for my birthparent’s…
I was born on the 23rd February 1981 and given the name Anne Bernadette, my name was then changed after adoption. The adoption was arranged through St. Margaret’s Adoption Society, Bath Street. You both travelled from Ireland to Glasgow during the pregnancy and had me adopted soon after my birth. I understand that you planned to return to Ireland shortly afterwards. At the time of my birth you lived in the Temple area of Glasgow.
Although I know your names I do not wish to disclose them, as I understand it was not your intention to tell your families of my existence, and the last thing I would want to do is cause your life any disruption or you any unnecessary pain.
I post this message simple in the hope that, like me, you may search these pages every few months or so. I wish you to know that I had a very happy childhood and live a very fulfilling life now. I have never wanted for anything, particularly love. I was raised to understand why you both made the decisions that you did and wish you to have no regrets; life is too short, and far too precious. Most importantly, I want you to know that you are always in my prayers and that I love you both, I always will.
I didn’t post this message to initiate a response, but if you are my birthparent and wish to contact me please do; any contact would be on your terms. I would love to hear about your life and would never say no to having another friend in mine…

Michael O'Sullivan ( born 1912-1914)
I am trying to trace my birth father. He had a relationship with Hilda Maud Parris of Chiswick, London and I was born in 1954 and subsequently given up for adoption. All I know about him, is that he was born in Ireland, was 41 when I was born, working as an electrical engineer and living in the Kew area of Gretaer London. Sadly my birth Mother died in 1996, never married or had other children. I would love to know whether there are any siblings on my father's side. Any information would be gratefully received. |

I traced my birth mother 6 years ago. It wasnt a very successful reunion. At the time she refused to give me any history of my birth details or of my birth father. I was adopted into a loving family who come from Monaghan town. This was back in 1961. I originally came from a town called Killmallock in Co Limerick. I would like to complete the jigsaw and know ifI have any half brothers andsisters. My birth mother only had one baby, me Thank you. |
