I am searching for a Noreen Duffy who in 1953 became Noreen Vecchio.Noreen lived in Braintree in Essex at the time of her marriage.Noreen married a Vincenzo Vecchio in June of 1953 in August of 1953 she gave birth to a son called Robert J.I am trying to find what happened to them after that.Vincenzo I know was in the U.S.A Air force and was stationed at Raf Wethersfield near Braintree.I presume they returned to America where I think Vincenzo is buried Robert I believe lives in America also but he is hard to trace as he has moved resently. Its Noreen I cant find in England or in America some one some where must know what happened to her.Noreen is my birthmother and my name back in 1951 was Kathleen Duffy. Some out there must remember her |

Iwas born in 1949 in 1996 or around then i tried to contact my father who is married and lives in Tipperary. I think his wife does not know I exist.I tried to get in touch with my father through a priestwho seemed willing at first but a few weeks later refused to even speak to me on the telephone. He offered no explaination. Now not only do I not know if the priest gave photos of my children to my dad, but i also dont know if ther was a major incident over my contacting him. Ten years on .I expect my Dad may have died. I need to know what happened. My mother who since died wrote to the Bishop who replied and said he supported his clergy in their decision. The manner of the reply making us feel we had no rights and were making trouble.I would be grateful for an adressto write to for help or better still a place to visit to talk.I grew up thinking my mother was my sister was told at about nine years that she was my mother but it did not mean anything she was always maureen to me . I could not call her mum. Now she has died.I am happy aand loved all of my childhood family but there are issues i need to close. |
