Searching for my brother, his post adoptive name was Paul Christopher Costelloe. He was born on the 20 August 1971 in Larne Hospital, County Down, Northern Ireland. He may have been fostered for about one year, before being adopted through Dr. Barnardos. His adoptive Father was from Northern Ireland and a Doctor and a Protestant, and his mother was from Southern Ireland a Nurse and a Catholic. She gave up nursing. They were in their 30's when they adopted him. They had made it clear that he they would like him to know about his Birth Parents. We have registered all our details with the Director General, and have gone as far as they will let us go. YOu have two sisters, both full sisters, as mum and dad have been together and married for 30 years. We all think about you every day and hope that you or someone who knows you will contact us. We love you and hope one day we will be together. There are a lot of things to be said, and things to be explained, but we hope you will give us the chance to explain. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE if anyone knows of our brother, please contact us on the above email address.

All our love,

Kylie & Peta (Your sisters in waiting)

I am still looking for my husbands Birth Mother, Margaret Josephine McDonnell or members of her family. My husband was born, Philip Paul McDonnell on 14th September 1948 at Father Hudsons Homes in Birmingham and was handed into their care, by his Birthmother for adoption.

Philip was adopted and was renamed, Gerard Paul McKearney. He now lives in South Australia - Australia.

Margaret born in Dublin. She moved to Birmingham towards the end of 1947 and worked as an Assembler and later a Press Operator, at one of the Joseph Lucas Ltd. factories.

Her last known address was 108 Hazelville Road, Hall Green, Birmingham. She lived at this address until 1953/1954.

Margaret Josephine McDONNELL (known as Josie),was born on the 17th June 1917, in Dublin. Her father was James, born in 1873 at Co. Cavan Ireland,
Occupation Vanman. Married Margaret McDERMOTT in 1901. James and Margaret are now known to have been living at 7 Middle Gardiner Street, Dublin, from at least 1911 - 1947.

The following siblings have been found in Ireland's 1911 Census: Mary b. 1902, Ellen b. 1904, Elizabeth b. 1906, Christina b. 1909 and a Margaret who was 4 months old but must have died sometime later.
