I am looking for my birth mother/relatives. I was born on January 14, 1971 and was given the name Dympna Mary Gilroy(reverse of my mother's name). I was born in Northampton England and put up for adoption in St. Francis Children's Society.
My birth mother's name is Mary Dympna Gilroy. I don't know whether that is her maiden name or married name.
I was told my mother went to England to have me and she was from Ireland and Catholic. She put me up for adoption to take care of her parents. I am assuming she went back to Ireland after she had me.

Looking for Brendan (Surname not known) who was adopted in Ireland (possibly Cork) in 1960. Birth Mother Anne Mcmahon.(From County Clare) Birth Father Christopher Keenan (County Westmeath).

I am still looking for relatives of Margaret Mary O'Callaghan who lived and worked in Romford Essex during 1947-1950 she lived with Benjamin and Clara Major and Harriet Dobbin at 3 Fernden Way and was a Ward Maid at Oldchurch Hospital. I understand that other young girls may have lived at the same address after giving birth.I have learnt of 3 brothers that have been reunited after staying there as babies.
Does this ring a bell with any other young mother that may have stayed there? and would you have remembered Margaret.I would be grateful for any help. |

Peter was born 25th July 1948,Kings Norton,B'ham
Sadly he died on 10th September 2003 without ever finding his birth mother.Her name was Kathleen Garraton and she may have been Irish.
Peters' three children are continuing the search. |

I posted a message back in july since then i have found new details about my birth mother and my email address has now changed. My birth mother Maureen Stranney lived at 14 nelson street county Antrim she used to be a mill worker, i was born at Jubilee Maternity Hospital belfast i was born on the 28/05/1950 and was called Margaret Mary Stranney. If any one has any information even if she is still not alive please contact me.
