I am looking for JUNE LYONS (my birth mother). She used to live at 5 Grafton Street, Douglas, Isle of Man.
She got pregnant by a man called Geoff Bayliss (my birth father). I was born on the Isle of Man 18/07/1973.
I have met my birthfather and am now just want to complete the picture!
June has a large scar on her face and would be about 50 years old. She used to work in Belfast in a factory where they made work shirts etc.
If anyone has any information on any of the above I would be very grateful! |

she was born 'Doris' on 11th May 1951 in Ballymena. She was adopted to James and Margaret Armstrong of 4 bachelors walk, lisburn, co. antrim. The adoption was done via the midwife : Annie Bowman (married to walter bowman).

Hoping to find further information on my original name given at birth. This is what I know:
-Born somewhere in the North of Ireland 8th of June 1968.
-Taken to St. Clare's Adoption Society in Dublin on or near 20th June 1968, and adopted shortly after.
-Mother was under 20 and a shop assistant by occupation.
I am unable to register with the Adoption Contact Register in Belfast without knowing my original birth name, thus making it difficult for my birth mother or any other relative to know that I have actively been searching for information about them over the past 11 years.
If any of this information sounds familiar, or if anyone has also struggled with the complexities of being born in the north and adopted from the south and has suggestions or advice I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you- Paul |

Hi, I'm trying to trace my brother, he was born on the 15th september 1976,in the Jubilee Maternity Hospital, Belfast, his birth mothers name at that time was Jeanette O'connor (nee Heggan, now,Boyde)he was adopted through Beechhall social services, although I'm not sure if this is correct,I have been told it may have been to a family in the Bangor area. He was named Mark by his birth mother but of course this may not have been kept.
any information would be thankfully received,
paula. |
