Hi. I am searching for my grandmother's relatives. She was Mary Ann Kennedy and was born in Dundee, Scotland Her father was edward Kennedy and his was Joseph. Joseph was born in either Ireland or Dundee, but was definitely living there in 1872 when he married Annie Kerrigan. His parents were James Kennedy and Bridget Burns and when Joseph married Annie on 1/1/1872 in Dundee, James was recorded as a Factory night watchman. Neither are recorded as being deceased. They are recorded as living in Dundee at the time of the 1871 Census, but I have found no redeerence for them in the 1861 - so were they still in Ireland. Any news would be most welcome! James was born c1801? and Bridget later? - 1817 (but these are Census dates....)

William Martin b. 1810 immigrated to US in 1845-46 with young son Matthew Martin b. 1840. I don't know if more family members immigrated. Where did they come from? I cannot find any records on their immigration other than the dates they arrived here (census records). William is my great, great, great grandfather. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
