I am trying to find information on Thomas Meskel/Meskill from Co. Waterford, Ireland. He and his wife, Mary Dumphy came to the US during the potato famine settling in upstate, New York. His son Patrick born about 1843, fought in the Civil War and married Alice Murray . They moved to Iowa and raised their family there and are buried in Clermont, Iowa. I'm guessing that Thomas and his wife were born about 1820 or so. Any information would be greatly appreciated. M. Greetan |

I have been trying to find my Great Grandfather, Edmond Foley who was born in Co. Waterford, Ireland in 1824. He came to the US during the potato famine, probably around 1850. He married Charlotte Cruzan around l859 in Iowa, and he died there about 1898. I would like to find the town that he comes from in Co. Waterford. Any help would be most appreciated. M. Greetan |

Researching James Bell, born 1795 in Ireland. Immigrated to U.S., married Mary, born in 1795, from New Jersey. Owned manufacturing business in Philadelphia. Four children, including Henry born in 1835 in Philadelphia. Henry married Ann, had three children, including Ellen, born c. 1862 in Philadelphia. 1870 census shows James as retired manufacturer living with Mary, Henry, and three granddaughters.
