I am trying to find the birthplace in Ireland of my grandfather Thomas Hanley who died in December 1929 aged 69 at a village called Feniscowles, Nr. Blackburn, Lancashire.
I remember being told that the first born son has to be called Thomas. My father and myself follow this pattern and as my grandfather and great grandfather are all called Thomas I have presumed that they too were first born sons.
Census 1891 and 1901 only show Ireland as place of birth. My great grandfather is named on the wedding certificate of my grandfather.
Looking at the Irish Times site Cloontuskert, Co. Roscommon seems the likeliest place.
Although I will be visiting the area in the Autumn of 2005 any help previous to this would be very much appreciated. |

| I am looking for parents, family, any info on Daniel Morrow. Born 1705, Antrim Ireland. Married Margaret Stuart of Prince Edward Virginia. Son William born abt. 1743 in Prince Edward Virginia. Any help will be appreciated and I will share the info I have. Thanks, Shirley |

| hello, i am trying to trace my mothers family, my grandma was mary campbell born 14,05,1913 in abbeyleix,laois,my great grandma parents where terrance campbell and annie josephine campbell. my grandad was daniel brennan born (i think 1898), in clough,castlecomber, kilkenny.his father was micheal brennan and i think grandad had a brother joseph.my grandparents married in 1924 in abbeyleix and had 4 children mary,anne,kathleen,rosaleen before they moved to the isle of man in 1938 thats all i know which isnt much, so if any one has any info i would appreciate it thanks jennifer |

Looking for family members of Dennis Ryan & Mary Ahern. Both came from Gortshane East, Newport, Tipperary. They wed in Newport about 1830 /1831. Children were Judy 1831, Denis 1834,Michael 1837, Patt 1844, Norry 1845, Hannah 1850 & John 1852. All baptised in Newport. Denis wed Mary Lacy from Bird Hill in 1869.
There children were Martin 1869, Michael 1871, Denis 1872, John 1874, Catherine 1875,Daniel 1877, Christopher 1878 & Owen 1880. All baptised in Castle Connell, Limerick.

I am trying to trace my wifes ancestors. Henry James and Mary Quinnell.Henry was born 16/3/1853 in Southsea Hants to a Jane Quinnell.
Mary Quinnell (Nee Kerwin) was born in Cork Ireland in 1859.Their first child William was born in Cork in 1880.The second Rose in 1882.Further children were born in Yorkshire,Lancashire, and Hampshire.
If you can point me in the right direction to obtain the relevant Irish Birth and Marriage certificates it would be appreciated,or if you

looking for any information on Sarah McCullough my great grandmother , born in Ireland , married Thomas McEneny ,also born in Ireland.Born 1850/51
Living in Salford ,England from 1878.Had 3 sons Thomas ,Robert ,& John McEneny. Robert was my grandfather. |
