Seacombe/Secombe/Seccombe Co.Down Nth Ireland Jan 07, 2005
I am looking for any record of the above family, the surname was usually spelt Seacombe in Co.Down in the late 1800's. Details of family are :-
Thomas SEACOMBE b. 1807 Cornwall. served in the C/Guard, from approx 1830 in Scotland(Whithorn)until approx 1838 when he was posted to Bangor Stn. Belfast Port Co.Down. removed 1842 to Taro Stn,Newry Port,Donaghdee dist. removed 1850 to Ballyhalbert Stn.Strangford Port,Donaghadee dist. became Roddens Station. He died 1862 Roddens Stn Co.Down. Thomas married :-

Isabella MC CLELLAND 1832 Stranrar, Scotland. Their children were :-
William McClelland SECOMBE b.1833 Whithorn,Scotland
Alexander SECOMBE b.Wigtown abt 1840.M.Melvina Vincent,Australia 1864. Died Georgetown Aust. 1885.
Mark SECOMBE, b. 1842,Whithorn.m. Lizzie Mulholland 1875 Suffolk. Died 1889 Walton,England. He joined the R.N. and later the C/Guard.
Elizabeth H. SEACOMBE b. abt 1843 ? Died 1862, buried Church of Ireland Balligan,Parish of Inishargy, C.Down.Ireland
Andrew SECOMBE b. 1847,Portaferry,Ireland.M. Emmma Chaston 1875 Duffus,Scotland. He joined R.N. and later C/Guard.Died 1884 Suffolk,England
John SEACOMBE b. 1851.Baptised Roddens.C/G stn, Ballywalter, Co.Down, Ireland.
Louis SEACOMBE B. 1852, Roddens St. Ballywalter, Co. Down,Ireland.

I have no record of what happened to Isabella and her two sons John and Louis SEACOMBE after Thomas' death in Co.Down. I am hoping someone may have some information on them. Alexander SECOMBE was my G.Grandfather

researching the following names in Ireland.Francis Mahon and his wife Catherine McGraw or McGrath,married in Derrygonnelly Innishmacsaint,in 1845 by a Father McMahon.Francis's name could be McMahon.Bridget Green Married John Mahon/McMahon.Sylvester Smith from Co.Cavanin the 1800's.Bernard McGrath/McGraw and his wife Norah Kelly.Patrick Smith and his wife Annie Smith her maiden Name.If anyone is researching these names or can assist in helping me i'd be very much obliged.

I am looking for paper trail of my grandfather THOMAS CALLAGHAN born 1880 in CORK /ROSCOMMON,paper evidence I have is marriage cert Thomas married Nellie Tandy 1905 in Sheffield Yorkshire England,on cert it refers to his Father as Peter,after trying all sort of research I stillcannot find a birth cert.Thomas and Nellie had seven children including my Father Jimmy,Thomas died in Sheffield 1945 age 65, Praying someone can help thanks Jackie Jenkins

Michael CLARKE--Ellen Furlong

both born, married, and died in Ireland.
Son Robert 1835-1912 married Frances TIERNAN in Co Wexford abt 1857. They with their 9 children came to Chicago Ill between 1875 and 1890.--Michael, Patrick, Mary, Ellen, Francis and ????
These children were all born in or around Piercestown, Co Wexford.--having been baptized in St. Martin's R.C. Church

My gg George Watts married Ellen Coleman in 1860
in Fermoy County Cork. My Grandfather was Richard Watts married Edith Marchant Brownhill in Aston Birmingham in 1904 he died in 1918 in ww1.
Does anyone know of any Watts or Colemans in Fermoy?

My GG Grandfather b Ireland 1818 married Mary Oxley in England in 1844.
Unfortuneatly he doesnt seen to know "where" he was Born. Censor records are different in each report for his birth. Given places of birth in Censor records are as follows:
1851 Ireland
1861 Foxford, co Mayo
1871 Ireland
1891 Ireland Claremoms
1880 Co Claire
Johns father was Edward Doherty and Marys father was John Oxley.
This query is from a living relative I found through Genes Reunited, but we are stuck on this one, cant trace him anywhere.
PLEASE CAN ANYONE IN IRELAND HELP.
