We are descendents of the Bells and Heslops of Barnard Castle, Durham England. Our ancestors, William Bell (born 1816) and Jane Heslop (born 1808) came to the United States in about 1854. A couple of us are going to visit that area in Sept/Oct 2008 and would love to meet some of you who are descendent from those surnames in that area and surrounding area.

thank you,
Irene

Hi everyone,
I an searching for information on the following children born to Samuel Johnson and Edith Trussell...
Samuel Kenneth b. 26 Nov 1911. Frances May b. 2 Feb 1913. Edith b. 29 Apr 1914. Gladys Hilda b. 24 Feb 1917. Beatrice b. 1920. Ronald b. 22 Sep 1921. They were all baptised in Killamarsh Parish Church, Derbyshire.
The children's father Samuel Johnson died in 1924.
Beatrice b. 1920 was fostered by the Oldale family in Sheffield. It is not known if it was at the time of her fathers death or earlier. We do no know if any of the other children were fostered, or stayed with their mother.
Any information on any of these people would be most appreciated.
Regards,
Pat

I'd be very grateful if someone could help me find the marriage of William BURTON to Hannah (possibly CORBETT) around the year 1836 possibly in Manchester.

Regards,
Andre Blundell
