I am looking for information about my late great uncle Henry Charles Evans and his descendants. I only discovered his existence when I began to do my family history. He was born to John and Jane Catherine Evans in St.Pancras 21 August 1853 and married Amelia Yourn b.1853. They were living at 37a Fairlight Road, Tooting, London at the 1901 census with children
Mary Jane b. 1878, Charles b. 1880, James b. 1882, Edith b. 1884, Richard gamon b. 1887, Amelia b. 1890 and Wiliam b. 1893.
Mary Jane Catherine Evans married Charles Cason 1 December 1901 and their daughter Gladys was born in 1902.
I am looking for any further information on the family from 1901. |

In December 1943 my Nan (Tamar Garrard) was stationed at the ATS at Saighton Barracks, Chester, UK, she was 21 years old.
She worked with her best friend Marie Marshall (nicknamed 'Ongar').
Her duties commenced in 1941 until 1943 and she also worked in Northampton and Wales around this time.
We understand that she became friendly with a man who was an American GI
possibly worked at Burtonwood or Warton). His name was Mr G Moss.
In June 1944 my father was born as a result of my nan and Mr Moss's affair.
He was taken to Ongar Court in Essex, UK and had to pay child maintenance for the first 16 years of my father's life. Apparently he never missed a
payment.
My father John at the age of 62 only found this out two days after my nan died, it has been a tough time for him and the family.
If you know of Mr G Moss or any of his relatives that fit this brief story, then please contact me. |
