I am trying to find out about my father GEORGE JONES who was born in 1894, married my mother in 1926 at Woolwich, London on 25 January. My mothers name was Ada STUDD.
My father and mother parted when I was only 1 yr old so I never knew him. He died on 1 January 1943 at Sutton Coldfield and was living with a Fanny Small.
As a child I lived at 103 Lion Road, Bexley Heath. Kent.

My line traces back to John Wall who served with Sir Samuel Argall in the colonies of America early 1600's. John purchased land abt. 1629 in Virginia. One of his wives in colony was Elizabeth Clay Freme.He died abt. 1665 in Va.
He was born in England (I guess) sometime around 1580.How can I trace his mother and father? When did he come to Colony? Military record?

Searching for two brothers roots. John and Wm. Butler.
John was born 1830 and Wm. 1834. No records have been found oneither before 1860 in the United States, so assume they left England very near 1860 or shortly before.
The census show they and their parents born in England.
Maybe you know the names of some ships that sailed between 1859 and 1860?
