Scotland. Resided No9 East Sceinnes Parish ST Cuthberts,
when he married Isabella TINLINE? TINLEN? TINLIN at Bowden,
Roxburghshireon 29 August, 1854. Thomas was a joiner
/ journeyman by trade. Had three sons Brn Edinburgh
1856, 58 and 1860. The family then moved to Northumberland

I am seeking my ancestors from Forfarshire, Scotland. Their names are, Johne Reid, born in 1771, and his spouse Mary Guthrie, born in 1792. They emmigrated to Canada in 1847.The members of their family and their birth dates were, Mary 1819, Alexander 1821, David 1823, James 1825, Thomas 1828,(my gggrandfather) and John 1831. Alexander did not emmigrate with the others, and all contact was lost. Of the Kerr's, I only know that William Kerr born in 1801, in Ayershire Scotland, and married one Jane Stewart.

Once again on James Gregg Oreum Harper. I forgot to add that he was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He came to the USA with his father. His first son was James Alexander Harper. James Gregg Harper married in Philadelphia to Elisabeth Janet Carmichael, who was born in Dublin, Ireland, although she always added that she was Scotch. This couple had three boys and three girls. James Alexander Harper, John Harper, Robert Oreum Harper, Jeanette Harper, one girl who died young, Edith Gale Harper, and Lillian Harper. After this family lived for many years in Massachusetts, James A Harper convinced his father to migrate to Nebraska Territory. The other two sons stayed in Mass. The rest of the family moved to Nebraska. I would like to find the roots of this family in Scotland. Thanks. Wanda Cole
