Reply to this message   nobby clarke lincoln uk Jul 08, 2004 sgt williams raf sgt john brinley williams,son of mr&mrs eli williams of phillipstown,tredegar,monmouth husband of annie rosina williams,abergavenny mon sgt williams and myself were airgunners together on 38 wellington torpedo bomber squadron of shallua,egypt.he was a personal friend of mine,but sadly he and his crew failed to return from an attack against enemy shipping on 4th nov 1942,and he is listed on the column for those with no known grave at the el alemain war cemetery,egypt. i would be so pleased to hear from any surviving relatives or any that knew sgt williams. thank you,nobby clarke Reply to this message   margaret bryant bristol. united kingdom Jun 27, 2004 looking for my birth mother. margaret ann hughes formally of colwyn bay. north wales. she has two children who were fostered in 1957 and 1962. by the names of. valerie ann hughes. and margaret linda mary hughes. she had margaret with a john patrick flemming. who was a long distance lorry driver from ireland.(not known where he lived in ireland)but my mother has a sister by the surname (quigg) her sister lived in colwyn bay as did my mother. my mother worked and once lived in bristol.in the 1970's. but it is not known what happened to her after that. did she return to colwyn bay? or did she stay in the bristol area? or move on to somewhere else? the other information i have regarding my mother is she worked at stoke park hospital bristol. and she worked at ''avonleigh nursing home' bristol. she also worked in bellview crescent clifton bristol. please if anyone knows of her. and her possible whereabouts today. please leave a message on this site with contact details. and if anyone knows about my father. john patrick flemming or (fleming) i would be most grateful. Polly and Annie. Martha Rudd also known as Pattie, was born in Jan 1870-71 about. She married John Henry Phillips. They had 6 children Evan b: 1892 mL Ethel 2 sons LIllian m: 1920 to Jack Quinlan, they immigrated to the USA, they had 3 sons. William Henry m: 1925 to Leslie Thomas they immigrated to Canada in 1926 one daughter was born in Wales, in total 4 children. Alice m: Douglas Thomas no children Arthur m: Alice 1 daughter George Baxter m: Violet 2 daughters Polly married a man Richard Parry or Perry they had 1 son, and 2 or 3 daughters. Parry died in Liverpool Parry's kin were living in the UsA, when the news of his death they came over and collected the boy. Leaving the widow and her daughters alone. Annie Rudd married Joseph Phillips in Wales, and they had 2 sons Harry and Leslie. Reply to this message   Pete Hannah Oklahoma, USA Jun 11, 2004 I am trying to find an old friend named Grace Hopkins. She married and then divorced. So she may or may not go by Hopkins. She has a daughter named Cathrine and Graces mother lived or lives near the Marina in Swansea. At one time Grace lived near the Gower and worked in Swansea in a department store by the market. Debinums or something. She could be seen at the White Rose in Mumbles on Wed. nights with her friend Violet. I know she lived in Swansea in the early 90"s moved to Chicago US. around 93-94 and moved back to Swansea shortly after. How do I find Grace after all these years?
