Good morning!
I've been looking for a very old and very good friend of mine. Her name is (was) Quirina Templeman many years ago. She will be about 43 years old now. I've no idea how to find lost friends in Britain and thought this may be a way of finding her.
My name is Nicola Dökel and my maiden name is "Dixon". I used to live in Blackburn, Lancashire, but moved to Germany 25 years ago.
Quirina and I lost touch about 23 years ago. I've been living in Germany now for 26 years. Quirina and I met when she was living in Blackburn with her father and stepmother.
The last time Quirina and I saw each other she was living in London.
I know her mum used to live in Aberystwyth 26 years ago and perhaps still does.
If anybody can help me I'd be delighted.
Thank you very much,
Nicola |

Can anyone out there shed any light please? My 3 x gt-grand-dad was John Griffiths, Brassfounder, of Brick Lane, London, born in late 18th cent. His son also John wed Amelia Marsh, dau of James, ship agent in 1820 at St. Giles, Cripplegate. He and his son John were Chemists` porters, and both moved to Birmingham to open eventually own businesses dealing in chemicals for smelting metals. 3 generations of John Griffiths, and last one`s youngest of 6 daughters my grandma Eleanor Griffiths later wed Charles Hill of Gloucester. They were still in London in 18th cent., so wonder when they came from Wales? Ever heard of this link with King Henry V111`s coachman, Griffiths who had 16 children and its said loads of Griffiths in London descend from him? Any help much appreciated. |

We are trying to locate information on my husbands gggrandparents William Morgan who married Mary Thomas. They had 2 children they called Mary and Thomas. They lived in Dowlais,Glamorgan,Wales but later moved to Australia. We know that Mary married John Robb in 1864 in NSW, Australia so the time frame for them (the parents at least) to have been in Dowlais must have been in the earlier part of the 1800 years aswe have been able to find out that Mary was born @1844. If you are able to help, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

I am looking for information on the Loyd's on Wales. My ancestor, Thomas Loyd, was born in New Jersey, but I'm trying to find my ancestor previous to him. Also, had read some where that the Loyd family may have a connection to King Edward 1st (of the Plantagenet royalty line) Anyone know anything about his lineage?
Thanks,Denise |
