He served in the RAFC as a corporal driver in WW2. Then he transferred to AFPU as a war correspondent. He was present in Tehran at the meeting between Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Reply to this message   Norma Whitehead King Butte, Montana USA Oct 28, 2002 I am looking for relatives of my GRGR Grandmother Elizabeth Davies Jones born 1855 Glamorgan, Wales to Jenkin Davies and Independant Minister. I haven't found anything about Jenkin or his wife Lucy (I'm not sure on her name). Elizabeth married Ephraim Jones June 1878 in Glamorgan. They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah USA about 1879 to be with Ephraim's Dad Thomas Jones. Ephraim's mother was Susannah Reese (Rees) no information on her either. She married Thomas about 1848 around Morriston, Wales. The records I have are hard to read so I might not have the names right. I am also looking for information on my Grandfather's family. My Dad said his family was from Liverpool. Rudolph Garfield Whitehead was born 1878 Galesburg, Illinois USA. Only information on relatives is a John M. Whitehead his wife Easter Mummed(French name), daughter Garnett, son J. Richard Whitehead all living in Galesburg, Illinois until the late 1920's and then nothing. No one knows of these people and can't find anything on my Grandfather who went by Robert when living in Butte, Montana USA. I appreciate any information on the Davies, Jones or Whitehead family. Their son Cyril Walter was born in 1903 and was the youngest of possibly 13 children. He was my grandfather. I am told he had a sister Margaret (Maggie). David Davies married Sarah Roberts around 1900 (give or take 10 years). They had children: Blodwen, Tegwen, Trevor, Saddie, David, Gwyneth, Robert, Rose, Sarah, and Annie (my great grandmother). Annie Aelwen Davies was born May 21, 1908 in Northern Wales. She immigrated to the United States after 1924, leaving from Liverpool and arriving in New York. She married Thomas Naylor and had a daughter Gwyneth who had a daughter Tegwen. Saddie has a son named David (no idea what the last name is). One of Annie's siblings (don't know who or when) drowned in a river when young - something about having to cross the river using a pulley system.
