Hello
I am trying to find my Godparents May Townley,
Vera Britland and Jack Baron.
I was christened on the 26-7-1944 at St Barnabas Church, Openshaw, Manchester.
My mother and father were Ivy (nee Jebb) and Jack (John) Sherriff, my father was in the Merchant Navy. at the time we lived in Lord Street, Openshaw.
I know this is a long shot but if anyone reconises the above names I would really appreciate info on them. My mum died in 1977 and my dad in 1979 so I have no one to ask about them.
I only found out 3 weeks ago that I had been christened so I would dearly like to find info on my Godparents.
