I am trying to trace my family tree. Have got back as far as 1750. John Bennett Married Hester Barnfield In Minchinhampton 1775.(could have been a Maylee Bassett in Stroud 1788) John was a native of Liverpool. As was their son Joseph B 1790/1 He married Sarah Smith Of Nottinghamshire in 1816 in Minchinhampton and they had 8 (living) children and emigrated to Australia in 1840.
