I am looking for Maureen Smith (maiden name). She used to live at 12 Nyke Ave, Ash, Surrey, England. Her mother's name is/was Helena Florence Smith. Her grandmother's name is/was Mrs. F. K. Smith. Maureen has a sister - Jeanette Smith born Jan 30/46. Maureen was born around 1944. In August/1947, Helena, Maureen and Jeannette sailed to Canada from South Hampton on Aug 2/47, arriving Aug 7/47. They arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Helena met Romeo Lauzon while working at an army base as a canteen worker. The base is *believed* to be Camp Aldershot. (This could be wrong-Jeanette is not very sure of this part.) A couple of weeks after they arrived, they left Jeanette with her father (Romeo) in Cornwall, Ontario and went back to England. Maureen would have been around 3 years old and Jeanette would have been about 18 months old -these ages are approximate. Jeanette has been trying to find her sister and mother for years. She is 55 years old now and living in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. I would love to give her some hope and some information about her family as a Christmas or birthday present.
