I am looking for a gentleman who went by the by the name of Riaz Khan (and also Riaz's friend, Hassan Abdul who may be able to help) who lived in the Southampton area (possibly Clovelly Road area)in the 1960's and possibly still resides in the Hampshire or Dorset districts, although he could have moved much further afield.
Riaz Khan is not an uncommon name, and possibly it was not his original or full first and or surnames, however other details that are available should certainly help:
He worked for Wellworthy Limited, an engineering company based in Lymington, Hampshire and used to ride into work from Southampton in his friends van, who I believe was called Hassan Abdul. He may also have shared rented accomodation in Southampton with Hassan and another unknown gentleman.
Mr. Khan was probably in his mid to late twenties (not certain, but extremely likely to be 19-30 years) at this time, and so is now possibly in his late fifties or mid sixties. I believe that he had two or more sisters, possibly living in the St. Mary's area of Southampton, or possibly living back in the home country.
Mr. Khan's ethnic origin is far from certain, but believed to be mixed race Indian / Polish or Indian / Russian.
Initially, he may have lived in London, prior to moving down to Southampton. His parents either lived in London, or possibly sent him to England from overseas.
Riaz also studied within easy / walking distance of his Southampton accomodation at a local college or school for a while during some of his evenings. Apparently, he was quite ambitious, well mannered, intelligent, fairly quiet and articulate. Physically, at the time, he was at least six foot two inches tall, and possibly taller, with a slim build. He had a light tanned complexion, black hair and quite large brown eyes.
Kindly note that it may turn out that only some of these details turn out to be correct - but if a couple of pieces fit together, we may have the right person.
I would really appreciate anyone's help at all in knowledge of Mr. Riaz Khan or Hassan Abdul.
