Looking for descendants of William HAMPSHIRE (son of Charles HAMPSHIRE and Sarah THOMPSON) and Ann PEACE. William was born 1830 in Yorkshire, Ann was born 1829 in Wakefield, YKS. Thier children: Sarah (b. 1853), Benjamin (b. 1855), Charles (b. 1856), William Jr. (b. 1860), Herbert (b. 1861) and Florence (b. 1863). William came to the U.S. and opened a coal mine in Luzerne Co., PA. I believe that some of the children or at least William's brothers and sisters (Benjamin b. 1833, Herbet, and Martha Margaret) stayed in the U.K. If anyone has any information regarding this family, I would like to hear from you.
