TURNER alias CARAFFI & TAYLOR wife ELIZA
My grandfather' birth name was probably TURNER or Taylor.
The first details that I know about my grandfather are that in 1905 he was living in Leeds, Yorkshire, using the name Luigi CARAFFI and living with his wife Eliza (Ann) Caraffi. Eliza's maiden name was SHAW, born in LEEDS or Harrogate.
Luigi and Eliza lived in the Leeds and Harrogate area until about 1910.
By 1913 when my father was born, Luigi and Eliza Caraffi had moved to Skipton, Yorkshire, and were using the names John and Eliza TAYLOR.
For some reason, Eliza recorded her name as formerly TURNER on my father's birth certificate.
Family talk suggests that Luigi Caraffi and John Taylor were the same person and that when he was young, he ran away from home and changed his name to Luigi Caraffi, his birth name was probably Turner or Taylor.
My grandparents used the names John and Eliza Taylor until their deaths at , Yiewsley, West Drayton, England in 1961 and 1953.
Before 1907, My grandparents had a daughter called Mary, I don't know what Mary's surname was, I've been told that MARY became a NURSE at LEEDS HOSPITAL and MARRIED a DOCTOR.
I think that Mary had one or more sons, I've not heard of any daughters, there was also talk that Mary became a Quaker, I can't be sure that these details about Mary are correct.
Mary had at least 2 auntie's: SUSIE and HARRIET SHAW.
Mary's grandmother was called ANNIE ELIZA SHAW.
Mary is my fathers sister, my father never knew about Mary, she was not brought up by her parents (my grandparents).
I am trying to find detail's about all of my ancestors and their descendants,
Including details of Mary, her Husband and their descendants.
