My name is Heather Diplock (Nee Allen)
I am desperately trying to trace my Family Tree.
My Father, Cyril Frederick Allen (Known to everyone as Frank) was born 28/06/22 in Lewisham at 18 Eltham Rd SE9 Lee area. He had a brother (now deceased) called Johm A Allen.
Their father was called Frederick Allen Year of birth 1885 and born in the Bermondsey area but lived at 103 Farley Rd Catford SE6 before he was married. He died at 48yrs 1933 when living at 18 Eltham Road Catford SE9.
He married Annie Elizabeth White in 1922 and she live at 76 Laleham Road Catford SE6 before she married. When they married they both moved to 18 Eltham Road, Lee, lewisham SE9.
FREDERICK ALLEN; had 2 spinster sisters who was said to own a laundry in the Brixton/Camberwell area in the 30s, he also had a brother called Albert or Burt who later became a broker in Bracknell.
CHARLES ALLEN Died 1922 or before: (Frederick Allen's Father) came from the Bermondsey area and was an egg supplier.
FREDERICK WHITE: DIED 1922 OR BEFORE? (Annie Elizabeth's father) he originated from Paddock Wood, Kent and was a farm labourer. I am not sure when he moved the family to the Catford area, but I knew they were there by 1916.
ANNIE ELIZABETH ALLEN (Nee White) Died 1950 at 64yrs at her son John A Allen's home in Worcester. She had a brother called Thomas who had a daughter called Madeline Annie White DOB 1916 and died at 20 months old in 1918, their address at that time was 76 Laleham Rd, Catford SE6.
She had sisters but I only know of 2, 1 went by the nickname of Ditsey White and the other lived at 5 Thornhill Cottages, Taunton Road, SE12. They all originated from Paddock Wood but must have moved by 1916 or before that year?
PLEASE, PLEASE! If there is anyone out there that remembers the Allen's or the White's, or perhaps there is still a living relative out there somewhere either in the Catford/Lewisham/Bermondsey or Paddock Wood area, please get in touch.
My father is 80yrs now and want to get this together for him as a surprise. He memory is not so good and it would be nice to fill in all the gaps that are missing in his life.
