Correction to my search for RICHARD ALEXANDER JOHN RIGBY...the adoption agency was not run by nuns, but was private and based in Westminster. The woman who started the agency was later commended on This Is Your Life when Eammon Andrews hosted it! (Does anyone remember her, or know her name or the name of the agency?). Richard was born in their unmarried mums home in Victoria Park Rd. He was the third child in the new family - don't actually know if the others were adopted too. Adoptive parents weren't necessarily from London, but definitely carpet manufacturers somewhere in the South.
Again, any news would be wonderful.
