My name is Julie and I am searching for my full sister who was adopted at birth. Her birth name was PAULA LAMB and her DoB is 10TH JULY 1959. Paula was born at Queen Charlottes Hospital, London and was adopted between February and March 1960 at, I think, the Royal Courts of Justice / Chancery. At the time our mother was pregnant she was living in Highbury, North London and just prior to Paula's birth she was staying at a mother and baby home called Beechwood in Putney Heath Lane, London SW15.
I'm not sure what Paual's adoptive mother's occupation was but know that she was interested in painting and her adoptive father was a sales director and his interest was music. Within Paula's adoptive family there were also two other children. There was a brother (not sure if adopted or natural) who is approx 5 years older than Paula and there is also a sister who was adopted about 2 years after Paula.
I am Paula's full sister and was born in 1963. Our mother made enquiries as to Paula's health and well being just before Paula's 18th birthday (knowing that Paula, by that time, had the right to seach for original birth records). Our mother was advised that Paula was interested in painting, dress making and cookery; in fact, she was going to commence an art foundation course in September 1977 and if she decided not to make a career of art, she would probably pursue a career in cooking. We both have the same birth mother and birth father (who sadly recently passed away).
