BAINES.....I am searching for my Grandfather Mr Arthur Baines and any other relatives of his. My father, Michael Baines lost contact with the Baines family when he was about 9 years old. Last known address for Arthur Baines was Garforth Cliff Caravan Site, Leeds in the late 1950's, Living with Margaret Day who had a son called Clive. The caravan site was owned by the Ellerby Family. Mr Arthur Baines had relatives in the Bramley area of Yorkshire and one of the relatives had a cycle shop (originally owned by Arthurs father ???? Baines) that sold darts and dartboards. There was, I believe, a printing kit within the same premises. Arthur Baines had an accident whilst he was working in a steelworks (dates unknown) his leg was badly affected, after which he used a silver metal walking stick which apparently was more common for a blind person at that time. If Arthur is still alive he would be in his 70's. Any information no matter how small would be gratefully appreciated.
