I'm looking for my half-sister. My mother was young and unmarried and catholic and pregnant & in Ireland in the 1960's that didn't go down to well. Consequently she was pressurised into giving up her daughter for adoption (something which she has regretted every day since). My half sister had the name Karen Maria Neary and was adopted in Manchester in the late sixties. Her name would be different but I think her birth date was in July 1968 or 1969. My mother is 55 now and her name is Nora. Losing Karen pretty much destroyed her life so if anybody knows anything please please please let us know. The family are from Co Mayo in Ireland and Karen now has 2 half sisters and 1 half-brother. Please if anyone knows of a red-headed girl in her early thirties who was adopted at that time maybe it's Karen. Thank you.
