My mother, Nina Driver, formerly Christine Cheeseman, was adopted by Vera Hockman in 1940 after her birth on 16th March. Her birth mother's history is little known, but her name is (or was) Violet Grace Martins and we believe she worked in a cafeteria in London. My mother's adopted family were from Croydon in south London. We would love to trace this missing part of our family.
