I am trying to locate some of my mother's possible surviving relatives. She has given me permission to do this, and has left it to me to decide whether to pass on any information if I think it would not be too stressful for her. My mother's birth name was Sylvia Jones, born in Birmingham in 1937 or 1938 - the only link we have to her real mother is the name of mother given on the adoption certificate - Emily Jones. The address for Emily was 28 St Josephs Road (possibly Erdington ?) My mother was adopted by the late Lucy and Frank Turner in 1938. If anyone has any information about Emily Jones I would be grateful to hear from you. Many thanks.
