hi could someone please help.. I am trying to trace my mum's mother my( natural Grandmother)Her maidan name back in 1941 was Dorothy Ann Gilbert, Dorothy worked at harbour cove Padstow Cornwall as an general domestic servant. Dorothy came to 53 Plain An Gwarry Redruth in 1941 to Mr and Mrs Albert and Olive Symons, where she gave birth to a daughter (Patricia)We understand that the father to Patricia was an American GI.We believe that Dorothy's father was a policeman. In 1956 there was a post card sent to Mr and Mrs Albert and Olive Symons when Patricia was 15 years of age from Dorothy this post card was sent from New York. I would also like to add that the adoption took place at the juvinile court for the petty divisional section at penwith in Cornwall. The adoption was handeled by Mr Charles Thomas of station hill Redruth
