I was born on 7 December 1959, Kathleen Mary Ryan in a nursing home in Coggeshall in Essex. My mother was Jean Patricia Ryan from Arragon Road in East Ham - which is now part of the London Borough of Newham. About six weeks after I was born I was adopted through the National Children's Home. Shortly afterwards Jean married Dennis Black (not my father). Unfortunately both families moved away from their addresses in the early 1970's and I don't know where they went. I have two younger half brothers from Jean and Dennis. I don't know if Jean ever wonders about me, or even if others in the family know about me. I don't want to cause her any embarrasment and know it is a bit of a risk putting this on the web, but I'm a bit stumped to find out what happened after 1972. I do wonder about her and her family sometimes, but not obsessively. I am interested to fill in the gaps, but I don't know if I have the bottle for a meeting! Anyone out there know about my birth family?
