I am an adoptee and have recently discovered I was adopted in Manchester, UK in 1947. I have read the adoptees page in www.Lookup, and note I need to contact The Office for National Statistics, General Register Office, Adoptions Section, Birkdale, Southport for application, leaflet & information.
