I was born in Aldershot on 12/12/71 under the name of Karen Young, my mothers name was Patrica Ann Young who was living in the area at the time. I am searching for my brother who was born in 1969 also in Aldershot and who was also adopted at birth as well as my father who I believe from records was a member of the armed forces. My birth father did know that my mother was pregnant and tried found a family to adopt me but the decision on my adoptive parents had already been made. I know that Patricia Young died in 1974 and that not many people know who my father is, I have been in contact with her family but they could not help. Both of my adoptive parents have now passed away as have most of my extended family so I would like to find these 2 people. I have been on the national adoption register for a number of years and have also been placed on the NORCAP register. I realise that it has been a long time and that people may be reluctant to come forward, but I would just like to make contact if that is what they wish either by email or letter whichever they prefer.
