I am posting thisfor a friend who is desperately trying to find her sister who was adopted. Her sister was born on 27 06 1943 and given the name Elizabeth Parker.Possible adopted before 20 09 1944. She was born at 81 Sycamore Avenue Whitley Bay Tyne and Wear. Her Mothers name was Elizabeth Hannan nee Robson. Fathers name has been altered by the registrar on the birth ceretificate. It is not known who he was. She is thought to have been taken to a copule fairly local possibly Jesmond or Gosforth but it is not known who handled the adoption. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get the adoption records under these circumstances.
