Hello to any adoptees born at Devonport Maternity Hospital, Devonport, Plymouth around 13th May 1961 and subsequently adopted or any birth parents from the time.
I am desperate to get a lead on adoption certifcate numbers from adoptions that took place involving anyone born at this hospital from 13th May 1961 onwards. Certificate numbers could help me look in the correct place in the appropriate register . At the moment am at the "needle in the haystack" stage as I do not know my brother's adopted name.
He was born 13th May 1961 - his birth name was PETER BATEMAN, his birth mother's name was MARGARET and he was possibly adopted within 6 weeks of his birth but it could have been much longer.
I have noticed messages from those who have unwanted adoption certificates from certain periods - has anyone any information for the dates I am interested in?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
