Joyce was born in Streatham on 15 September 1925 to Florence Beatrice Cornish. Florence died in approximately 1945 of a brain tumour. Joyce was sent to an orphanage in Croydon in Surrey UK in 1925. Joyce was adopted in approximately 1927 by Leonard Edgar Davis and Elfreda Edith Davis ( nee. Walton-Smith ). Joyce was taken to live in Addlestone Surrey UK untill 1928, when the Davis family left to live in Rangoon in Burma.
Joyce is now living in South Africa since 1962 and would like to trace any living member of the Cornish family name as well as know the history of her family members.
