My Family (who reside in the UK) are looking for Margaret Allen or Margaret Heming (Hemming) who may now be married and of course have a different name.
Margaret Allen was born on 1st July 1929 in West Hartlepool Parents being Mary June Allen (Coulson) and William Oswold Allen.
Mary June Allen died in 1931 and as a result she was adopted/fostered in around 1934 or 1935 when the family moved to Abbey Wood in the South of England. We know she went to a family known as Heming in Islington. Mrs Heming was supposed to have been a distant relative of John Wesley and they were a religious family. We presume they were Methodist. The Heming family had older sons who were in the Ministry. We have a photo of Margaret when she was about 4 taken at the Manse in Norfolk (we are unable to decipher the village - it begins with W).
There was a family called Heming living at 49 Mildmay Park in 1935 (William J and Alice E Heming and son Maurice Freestone Heming). We think this may have been the family who fostered Margaret.
Any information re the Heming family or Margaret would be greatly appreciated as she has 7 surviving brothers and sisters and a huge family who would love to know what happened to her.
