I am trying to find information about my birth mother, JOAN MARY ASHFORD, formerly ANDERSON, who lived in Rugby, Warwickshire, during 1948-1949. I was born at the Monroe Devis maternity home in Tiddington, near Stratford on Avon on 11 January 1949 and put up for adoption immediately. My adopted parents were Sylvia and Frank (Walter Charles) North who lived at the General Stores in Dosthill, near Tamworth at the time. Both my adopted parent have since died. Unfortunately, records relating to my adoption appear to have been lost or are otherwise unavalaible, so any help would be gratefully appreciated.
