I'm looking for information about a school and a church in Preston, Lancashire. The school in question is St Edmund Campion. I'd like to know which church the pupils from this school would have visited in 1963/4, and the name of the priest the pupils would have turned to for help or advice. Also, if anybody knows of a church in Woodplumpton which would have arranged for a young unmarried woman to have her baby adopted through a mother and baby home in Liverpool. I understand the possible link, with Liverpool being a rather large city and also that Preston may have belonged to the Liverpool diocese, but I have so many pieces of the puzzle not coming together at the moment!
If anybody has any real information to give me(not just names of churches in Preston for the present day), then please contact me.
