I had the good fortune to unite with my half brother.My search messages concerning my birth mum Muriel Phyllis Normanton nee King resulted in lots of offers of help. I now have a new brother and a extensive loving family scattered over the four corners of the world.
Muriel sadly died ina car accident in 1971. Muriel left me behind in Wallasey in 1946. I was to remain a close secret till July this year! Muriel married in 1951 to Stanley Normanton in London. Terry my brother Angela was 1st born to them in 1951 (Watford) Muriel's husband Stanley spent some time detained in prison but between 1951 and 1955 Muriel had two more children?? Stanley was not the father. Eventually Terry my brother was born in Stoke Newington 1956.
My story is not yet complete. Muriel was a nurse and it is clear she prefered nursing to motherhood. All of us were put out for adoption. It took a lot of effort to find Terry my brother because he did not have the name Normanton.
Where are these two children born outside of marriage to Muriel? It would make life much more complete to find them?
To re-cap! Muriel Phyllis Normanton/nee King. A nurse in Tottenham. Had two kids between 1952 and 1955. Sex not known.
