My name is Dianne Hazel Mather. I am 54 years old, now living in Somerset.
My birth place is Liverpool, Merseyside.
I was born at "Mossley Hill Home for Unmarried Mothers" run by the Salvation Army in 1947.
My birth Mother's name is Joan Isobel Crofts - father unknown.
My birth name was Lavinia Anne Crofts
My birth mother's address was Trelydan Hall, Welshpool, Mont. She was a children's nurse, but the home is now owned by a lady who does specialist flower arranging world-wide.
My birth mother came from Port Sunlight on the Wirral, she was 19 when she had me.
I have a brother who was born of my birth mother and is called Frances Crofts, 3 years older than me, now 57 approx.
The home in Mossley Hill is no longer standing.
My entry of birth was in the registration District of Liverpool South in the Sub-District of Wavertree.
I was adopted my Mr David William Stevens (now deceased) and Mrs Gertrude Stevens of 62 Clapham Road, Anfield, Liverpool 4. He was a Policeman and she was a Housewife.
The details I have written above were supplied by my adopted mother - and if anyone out there has information please let me know.
I have had a wonderful childhood and all the love and care anyone anywhere could wish for.
I would like to find Francis Crofts.
