I too am a birth mother, my deepest regret is that I had no choice but to place my daughter for adoption.

The Real Mother is the one that kissed the tears away, read the bed time stories, bandaged the knees and enjoyed the tears and laughter of every day. My prayer every day of all these years is that my daughter had a Real Mother.

I gave her life and loved and nurtured her for almost 6 weeks. But society told me that I could not be her Real Mother, so I handed her to you with a heavy heart and a prayer that you would give her the love I wished her to have.

To all adoptive Moms everywhere this is one Birth Mom that says Thank You, for caring and loving for our children and understanding that we just want a chance to once again hold them and look at the fine adults they have become.
Thanks to your care and guidance.

We do not want to hurt you, rather we want to thank you for doing so well what we were not allowed to do.

We cannot nor do we want to diminish the love our children feel for you.

Do not fear, but feel comfort that there is room in our child's heart to love both of us.

My daughter's "First Mom",
