Iam trying to find any information on my father Edward James Matthews dob 23.11.30.He was in a banardos home and later fostered to the Farnham area.Does anyone know anything please as it would help fill a big gap in our family.He was in the navy from about 1950 to 1972ish.He served on mine sweepers and later instructed at a naval shore base in Portsmouth which is where i was born.He married my mother in Farnham in 1953.Any info would be most appreciated.My dad was very special to me,but he didnt talk about his past very much and alas he died in 1985.Perhaps you were in the childrens home with him,or maybe the navy,so anything might shine the little bit of light i neen.
