im looking for my brother who was adopted in 1968 (24th may)
he was born at pembury hospital on 9th dec 1967 and named duane antony piggot. his birth mother was called gillian piggott.his birth was registered on 11th december 1967 at tunbridge wells registerer No yl 037856.
the adoption number was A.C. 139/1968
My mother was given a little bit of information as to who her son was going to.
he went to a couple in their early thirties who were unable to have children.
the father was an engineer in a good position and was therefore able to provide well financially.
his mother went to private school and when she left she worked for a family smallholding, she later worked as a bookkeeper for a local firm untill she married.
her hobbies were dressmaking and horse riding.
my mother was told that her son would be brought up to know he was adopted and that his mother chose this to make sure he had a better chance in life,
we have all been bought up to know that we had a brother somwhere and that one day he might come to find us.
my mother had sent a letter to the adoption agency in the hope that he might contact her,
if you reading this duane (or whatever you are called now)
i would love to hear from you, you also have three brothers who all know of you and would dearly love to meet you. My mother often talks about you and there is always sadness in her eyes as she says it.
i truly believe she did what she had to do for you but she never stopped loving you and thinking of you.
