I am the birth mother of Michael Henry born on May 8th 1946 adopted in October 1946 through the Birmingham Magistrates Court by a couple in their thirties living in the Birmingham area. I don`t know the name the adoptive parents gave Michael but I have been looking for my son for nearly 55 years without success. If anyone can help please contact me - A day doesn`t pass by without me thinking of him - I was 16 when he was born and my father took him away forcibly to hand him to foster parents through what was then the Birmingham Childrens Department now Social Services - all their records before 1950 no longer exist.I am now almost 73 years old and want to find my son before I die - I do not want anything material from him and will accept it if he doesn`t want to see me but I really feel I have to try to find him regardless of the outcome.
