Happy Birthday for 27th January for my half brother, David Bennett [name at birth]. DAVID, if you are still out there you will be 43 on your next birthday. You were born on 27 January 1959 in CARLISLE and you were adopted shortly afterwards. Our mother is sadly dead now and I do not know who your father was. I have tried through all the normal channels to contact you but many doors are closed to the siblings of adoptees. You may not even have retained the name David but, please, if anyone knows of someone with this date of birth [perhaps still living in the North of England?] I had a fancy someone in the north-east adopted you, David. I am longing to hear from you and let you know about your Mum and the circumstances that led her to have you adopted.
