I'm 43 and have been in contact with my birth mother for over 10 years. She isn't forthcoming with information about my father. This is all I know. I was born in Feb 1958, by which time my mother Jill was 18. She had been sent to Sutton Coldfield for my birth. My father's name is Paul. According to my mother his surname is "something like" Robins, Robinson, Roberts, Robertson. In 1957 he may have been attending Croydon Technical College, studying engineering or mathematics. He may have had dark hair and blue-grey eyes. He knew of the pregnancy and offered to marry Jill. She refused him and may even have told him that she would be having an abortion. In 1957, Paul and Jill regularly met for coffee/drinks at the Zambezi coffee bar in Katherine Street, Croydon. Their relationship probably ended before my birth, of which he would have no knowledge. Jill had a close friend at the time, Christine, in whom she confided. If this jogs anyone's memory, I would be pleased to hear from you.
