looking for ancestors of George Owen Bowdler, Once of the 40th Regiment of foot.Ihave documents promoting him to Ensign,and to Colonel.one document is signed by Queen Victoria on 26 May 1848.Ialso have his silver cap pin with Egypt and Roman numerals XI on it.
