It is a puzzle that the three sisters [Jessie, Dorothy & Winifred Byrne] all lived at the Convent of the Holy Family, while both parents were still alive, living together, and yet the son, James [father of Peter James] Byrne, apparently lived at home with the parents. The Convent has no records left from the destruction of the war; however, my written inquiry was answered; the oldest nun still alive at the convent did remember the Byrne sisters. They actually sent me a picture of Jessie Byrne living at the convent.

Winifred May Byrne Kehoe, her husband & two daughters emigrated to the USA in 1927.
