I am descended from either a John Scranton of Guilford, Connecticut or a Thomas Scranton of Warwick Rhode Island, each of whom appear to have emigrated from England in the mid-1600's. It appears there are very few Scrantons in England. Does anyone have any family information on any branch of Scrantons, no matter how recent? If you have any information on Scrantons around 1600, that would be a real bonus! Thank you in advance.
